Metaframes Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Metaframes handles information when you use the Metaframes mobile app. Metaframes is a local-first photo framing app. The core workflow runs on your device. We do not operate a Metaframes account system, backend photo storage, cloud sync, advertising system, or analytics service.

Information the app accesses
Metaframes may access photos you explicitly choose from your photo library, file information for the selected photo, EXIF metadata embedded in the selected photo, manually edited frame metadata, exported image files generated by the app, and purchase status for Metaframes Pro as reported by Google Play or the App Store.
If you contact support, we may receive your email address and message content. The app does not request access to your contacts, location, microphone, calendar, health data, or advertising identifier.
How information is used
Metaframes uses selected photos and metadata to render previews and framed exports, let you edit or hide metadata fields, save exports to your device photo library when you choose to save, share an exported image through the operating system share sheet when you choose to share, unlock and restore Metaframes Pro purchases, and respond to support or legal requests you send to us.
Local processing and storage
Selected photos and EXIF metadata are processed locally on your device for the core framing workflow. Metaframes does not upload your selected photos or EXIF metadata to a Metaframes server.
The app stores app state locally on your device, including selected template, theme, onboarding status, Pro unlock status, metadata field values, and metadata visibility settings. The selected source photo itself is not stored in the app persistent settings file.
Exports are saved locally to your device photo library only when you choose to save them. Temporary export files may be created in the app cache during export or sharing and may be removed by the operating system.
Sharing and third parties
Metaframes does not sell personal information. In-app purchases are processed by Google Play or the App Store. The store may process payment, tax, account, device, and purchase information under its own terms and privacy policy.
If you choose to share an exported image, the file is passed to the app or service you select through the operating system share sheet. That third party handles the file under its own terms and privacy policy.
If you contact support, your email provider and our email provider process your email so we can receive and reply to it. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the app, subject to appropriate notice where required.
Data retention and deletion
Photos and EXIF metadata used in the core workflow remain on your device unless you choose to share an export with another app or service. Local app state remains on your device until you change it, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Exported images remain in your device photo library until you delete them.
Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, keep business records, and meet legal obligations. Because Metaframes does not provide accounts or cloud storage, we usually do not hold user data that can be deleted from a Metaframes server.
You can request help with privacy questions or support email deletion by contacting support@novasas.ch.
Permissions
Metaframes uses photo library permissions to import photos and save finished exports. You can grant, deny, or change these permissions in your device system settings at any time. If permission is denied, some import, save, or export features may be unavailable or may fall back to the system share sheet where available.
Children
Metaframes is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International use
If you use Metaframes outside the country where the developer or service providers operate, support emails and store purchase information may be processed in other countries under the applicable privacy practices of those providers.
Your choices
You can choose which photos to import, edit or hide metadata fields before exporting, delete selected photos from the current app session, delete exported images from your device photo library, change photo permissions in system settings, uninstall the app to remove local app data managed by the app, and contact support@novasas.ch with privacy questions.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app or legal requirements change. The Last updated date shows when the policy was last revised.
